New Level of Embarrasment

Today I reached a new level of embarrassing moves. I am known for putting things on top of my car and driving away. I've done it with many things from gallons of milk, fast food, purses, photo packets, telephone recievers, netflix vidoes, you name it, and it has probably fallen of or been seen on top of my car. It's embarrasing when someone honks at you to tell you this. Not my brightest moments. Well, if I thought those were bad, today I did something I've never done before. I dropped off the carpool and pushed the inside buttons to close all the doors (Love those things!) and continued driving home. About halfway there I realize it is a little chilly in my car and the road sounds awefully loud. When I pushed the buttons to close all the doors, I also pushed the button to open up the whole back.  So if you saw a minivan driving down the street with the entire trunk open and standing straight up on the back of the car....that was me.  What a dork!! 

Kirk's Been Demoted

So Allen came up to me and asked why there were two holes in the kitchen counter.  I told him that last night Dad had been helping Brianna with a school project and accidentally drilled too far.  Allen just looked at me and said "Oh....I thought Dad was SUPER DUPER smart.  But, I guess he is just REALLY smart." Can you say "demoted"  Hahahaha :)

Moving Mountains

While making lunch today Allen happened to say "You know what? I know how to move a mountain." I thought he was telling me a joke that he learned at school but I was wrong. "Really? How do you move a mountain?" "Well, you just need a seed." I think I know where this is going now.... "A seed, huh. Who told you all this?" "Daddy did." "Well your daddy is pretty smart. What kind of seed do you need?" "Oh it really doesn't matter. You can use any kind of seed, as long as you have enough faith. And then you can move a mountain." Doesn't quite have the lesson right, but he's close. He said it so matter-of-factly. Wouldn't it be great to still be as innocent as kids. To just really be able to believe all that you are told. Everything makes sense and is quite simple to them. Life can be just that simple, it's just that we adults like to complicate things with too much thinking.

Allen makes me smile :) I don't know what I will do when he is in school all day next year.
